Charitable Donations for Those in Randolph, Newark, Mount Olive Township, Morristown, Denville & Surrounding Areas

charitable donations Why do people who are making charitable donations believe Morris Habitat for Humanity ReStore is one of the best charities to donate to in their local area?  It is because helping others have an affordable place to live is extremely important to many donors. Since 2007, the profits on sales from donations made to our ReStore have helped Morris Habitat for Humanity build 18 homes for low-income and middle-income families in the local area.

We are also recognized as one of the best charities to donate to for those concerned about the environment. Our ReStore has kept 5,100 tons of material out of landfills by selling items no longer useful for one person to another who can still put them to good use. In addition, we dismantle Items we can’t sell and recycle the scrap metal for use in making new products.

There are many ways you can help us reach our goal of building 80 homes for hardworking families in our community by 2020.  These include:

  • Dropping off charitable donations you no longer want or need
  • Volunteering your time to work at our ReStore
  • Providing monetary support
  • Making corporate donations of obsolete inventory or equipment
  • Purchasing items from our store
  • Telling friends and family about us

Charitable donations are accepted at our Morris Habitat for Humanity ReStore during our normal store hours Tuesday through Saturday. Because of space limitations, we can only take charitable donations of items from specific categories such as appliances, artwork, cabinets, doors, musical instruments and other household related items. Items we do not accept include clothing, bedding, electronics and children’s items. To save you time, we suggest you check to see whether items you wish to donate are acceptable or non-acceptable before bringing them in for donation.

We could not exist without the charitable donations we receive daily from our generous neighbors in Randolph, Newark, Mount Olive Township, Morristown, Denville and the surrounding areas. Contact us today to learn more about Morris Habitat for Humanity and our ReStore and how you can help others to finally have a place to call home.
