Wouldn’t it be nice if your furniture donation helped the hardworking families in your community get new homes or have their houses rehabilitated? When you donate furniture to the Morris Habitat for Humanity ReStore, your donation will go towards that purpose and make a difference in the lives of many community members.
Morris Habitat for Humanity ReStore was started as a means to raise money towards the “vison of creating a world where everyone has a decent place to live.” We strive to follow through on our mission, by putting good use to items no longer wanted or needed or by selling those items to raise funds for new builds and home repairs. In addition to furniture donation items, we accept donations of the following items and more:
For those who want to help but can’t donate furniture or other items, volunteer opportunities are always available. Maintaining donation schedules or previewing donations are examples of administrative support volunteer activities, while volunteer truck drivers and helpers are vital for furniture donation pickups. A CDL is not necessary, but volunteer drivers must be over the age of 21 and have a clean driving record.
When you donate furniture or volunteer your services at the Morris Habitat for Humanity ReStore, you are also helping to protect the environment. In addition to building 18 homes since May 2007, we have diverted 5,100 tons of material out of landfills by selling furniture donation items and other donated items to people to reuse and re-purpose. When we have items we can’t sell, we dismantle them so parts can be recycled. To learn more about how you can help Morris Habitat for Humanity through donations or by volunteering, contact us today. We proudly accept donations from individuals and business throughout Randolph, Parsippany, Troy Hills, Newark, Mount Olive Township and beyond.
