New Jersey residents and companies looking for highly rewarding volunteer programs should consider Morris Habitat for Humanity ReStore as the local charity to contribute their time and resources. Morris Habitat for Humanity ReStore is widely recognized as the store that builds homes. By accepting new and like-new items from area residents and businesses and reselling those items at affordable rates to other community members who can put those items to good use, we are able to utilize the proceeds to build and rehabilitate housing for local families in need.
It is our mission to help 200 more families in the next 4 years, but we can’t do it without the generous donation of your time. By participating in our volunteer programs, you will reap countless rewards and help us to meet our goals. Those who sign up for our volunteer programs will receive the appropriate training necessary to carry out their volunteer assignments. Volunteers may work to provide:
While we gladly utilize your current skill set as often as possible, we also strive to provide our volunteers with a rewarding experience that allows them to learn new things and acquire new skills. Our community knows that when they want to donate furniture, tools, jewels, building materials, collectibles, artwork and much more, they can bring their items to our Morris Habitat for Humanity ReStore where they will be organized and resold by our ReStore volunteers. And, when people choose to donate furniture and other unwanted items to our ReStore, they are helping to keep usable items out of our local landfills.
