Morris Habitat for Humanity ReStore helps volunteers gain incredible value from their volunteer work that many other organizations may be able to provide. From our in-depth on-boarding at our volunteer orientation to empowering our volunteers to seek out duties they can apply their skill sets to while having fun, our organization strives to make volunteering for us as enjoyable and rewarding as possible. Our volunteer opportunities allow people to get involved with a ReStore whose sole intent is to sell donated goods to the public in order to benefit Habitat for Humanity. The profit from our ReStore helps Habitat for Humanity build homes for those in our community that are in need. Our volunteers help make it happen through their own unique skills.
Volunteer work does not have to be mindless or boring. At Morris Habitat for Humanity ReStore, we strive to help our volunteers of all ages give back in ways they enjoy. We do not require a large time commitment from those who are already generously donating their time for volunteer work and getting involved with our organization. We only ask that those who join our team donate four hours every week to our cause. Four hours adds up to only one afternoon, but it a huge difference for those in our community.
Our ReStore provides the community with many benefits, and we couldn’t do it without our community members taking advantage of the volunteer opportunities that we make available. To show our appreciation, we provide the following to our volunteers:
We go out of our way to show people just how much their volunteer work means to us. Our amazing volunteers inspire us to continually find new ways to offer volunteer opportunities to continue the growth and success of our cause.
